Talkative Who?

My name is Ramaa Ramesh and I write.

Have you ever met a mad reader? You know, one of those people who cannot not read? You have? Ah, so we’ve met.

I read PG Wodehouse, Tarun Tejpal, RK Narayan, Yann Martel, Amitav Ghosh, Vikram Seth, Arun Shourie, Shashi Tharoor, Agatha Christie,Richard Bach, Anita Desai, Khaled Hosseini, Orhan Pamuk, Kunal Basu,Nicholas Sparks, Alistair MacLean, Leon Uris, Aldous Huxley, Ruskin Bond, Rudyard Kipling, Michael Ondaatje, and others.

I used to be most comfortable writing facebook notes, but their reach is limited, and junta began to curse freely. Thus, the blog, started in the wee hours of the morning on the first of October, ’09.

When I’m not writing I dabble in amateur theater when I get the chance to. I’ve enjoyed the little acting that I’ve done. I come to new life when I act.  I also sing, almost kinds of music though I used to train as Carnatic vocalist. Most of my first twenty years were spent singing. I also like painting and learning new languages.

Most of all, I enjoy meeting new people.
